The course is 5000m (5k) long. This has been accurately measured by us with a professional measuring wheel. The course is in The Woodlands Office Park, Woodmead. The course is run entirely on permanent paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.
Course Description
One loop around the office park and another within the nature reserve, all on road and paving surfaces.
The entrance gates close strictly at 7:45 am. No one will be permitted entrance after this time.
STRICTLY NO DOGS ALLOWED.
Facilities
- Part of the run goes through an animal reserve. Caution will need to be taken with ducks, guinea fowl, peacocks, dassies and springbok.
No dogs allowed and prams will be a challenge. - The GPS coordinates for Woodlands parkrun are 26°03″46’S 28°05″17’E
- Public toilet facilities are available and for R10 you may use the shower facilities at The Gym
