Experience the serenity of Victoria Lake at the 5km parkrun, where participants come together for a refreshing morning run surrounded by the natural beauty of the lake, promoting fitness and camaraderie.

The course is 5000m (5k) long. This has been accurately measured by us with a professional measuring wheel. The course is at Victoria Lake, Germiston. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, grass and brick paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

Course Description

This is a two lap course of 2,5km per lap inside the securely fenced grounds of Victoria Lake. The distance marked course is mainly on tarmac and brick path with two 50m grass sections. The starting point is on the tar road inside Victoria Lake marked by the parkrun banner.The course shall be run anti clockwise with the start facing east.
The route is ideal to achieve a PB and accessible for prams and wheelchairs.

Facilities

Ablution facilities are available close to the start.
Fenced off children’s play area opposite the start line, parent / guardians supervision is suggested.

Every Saturday at 8:00am.
