The Umfolozi parkrun provides an opportunity for both locals and tourists to connect with nature, stay fit, and foster a sense of belonging within this stunning natural environment.

Umfolozi parkrun is a popular weekly event that takes place in the picturesque surroundings of the Umfolozi Game Reserve in South Africa. The parkrun movement, which began in the United Kingdom and has since spread globally, promotes free, weekly, timed 5-kilometer runs in beautiful locations like Umfolozi.

Course Description

Starting just inside the private game reserve, the sandy double track goes past a waterhole on your left for 1.1 km where a marshal will indicate a right turn onto a gravel road.

Facilities

Please note that there are no facilities in the game reserve itself.

There are a number of coffee shops available North and South of us; look for The Village Grove at 13 Regia Street in Kwambonambi or choose from a wide range of restaurants in St Lucia.

When is it?

Every Saturday at 7:00am (October – March) & 8:00am (April – September).

Where is it?

The event takes place at Teza Game Reserve, Lower Umfolozi, Mtubatuba, 3935.
