Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve is a pristine wilderness on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa, known for its striking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and extensive network of hiking trails.
Situated just southeast of Johannesburg, Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve is a beautiful nature oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The reserve hosts kilometres of trails popular with mountain bikers. This area is also ideal for hiking, wildlife viewing, and picnicking. Those hoping to view wildlife from the comfort of their vehicles can also drive on the motor vehicle tourist route. Over 200 types of birds migrate through the reserve, making it a great bird watching destination.

Week days: 07:00 – 16:00 (exit by 18:00)
Weekends: 06:00 – 16:00 (exit by 18:00)
Earlier weekend times on trial basis
