The PE Hobie Beach 5km parkrun in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, offers a scenic and invigorating route along the picturesque Hobie Beach. The course is 5000m (5k) long. This has been accurately measured by us with a professional measuring wheel. The course is at Hobie Beach, Port Elizabeth. The course is run on a mixture of brick paths, concrete paths, wood decking and sand. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

Course Description

The course starts from big palm tree between yacht club and Shark Rock Pier. course proceeds along the path beside the shore line towards Something Good Restaurant. Proceeding along the path left around Something Good parking lot and crosses at the pedestrian crossing in front of Lifesavers club turning left onto the path passing between Lifesavers club and Residential Complex up to Beacon (Half way point). At the beacon the course crosses the Boardwalk onto the beach. (Beware the rocks as you come onto the beach) Head back along the beach toward Something Good. From the beach the route rejoins the footpath at the steps next to the large rock formation. The root then proceeds along the path back toward the finish on grass patch between yacht club and Shark Rock Pier.
