The course is 5000m (5k) long. This has been accurately measured by us with a professional measuring wheel. The course is at Mofolo Park, Mzilikazi St, Soweto. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, paved paths, grass and sand. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

Course Description

It starts with a 1km inner loop run in an anti-clockwise direction. The surface here is gravel and grass. A second loop follows part of the first loop then runs out onto the pavement for a short distance before returning into the park following foot paths and over grass. The route exits the park onto paved walkways on the parks perimeter, returning back to the park before it reaches a bridge. It then continues on the lower section of the park until the loop meets up where it began. This loop is approximately 1.5km and is repeated on exactly the same course as the previous loop. It then ends with a short 400 m last loop to the finish.
