The “Circles in the Forest” trail, also known as “Kringe in ‘n bos”, can be found within the Goldfield State Forest. This trail both begins and concludes at the Krisjan-se-Nek picnic site, providing the opportunity to enjoy barbecues and relaxation on the lush green grass. The trail offers a splendid and accessible hike through the forest, ranging from easy to moderately challenging. Along the way, you’ll encounter a refreshing swimming spot nestled within a serene forest pool, inhabited by small fish species. Additionally, a picturesque pool graced by a waterfall adds to the trail’s allure. Throughout the journey, you’ll wander amidst expansive forest ferns, traverse streams teeming with lively frogs, and cross small wooden bridges that enhance the experience.
