This small 100 hectare bird sanctuary lies roughly 1 km south of a shallow valley that carves its way through the centre of Benoni in Johannesburg. It is home to at least 250 bird, including the goliath heron and glossy ibis, black egret and African spoonbill. Beautiful loop trail around a lake. The trail is mostly paved and could work for wheelchairs at least part of the way. Informative signage throughout about the wetland and the resident birds. Benches also provided around the trail.
