The 5km parkrun in Heidedal offers a fantastic opportunity for participants to start their Saturday with an energising run through the scenic surroundings of Heidedal, fostering a sense of community and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle in this charming South African locale.

The course is 5000m (5k) long. This has been accurately measured by us with a professional measuring wheel. The course is at Clive Solomon Stadium, Heidedal. The course is run on a mixture of grass and dirt road. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

Course Description

This is a flat course with almost no elevation. It’s an out and back course circling the perimeter of different (cricket, rugby, soccer) fields.
The course starts at the Clive Solomon Cricket clubhouse and the route follows the perimeter of the cricket field. You headed to the rugby grounds and turn left after going thru the gate. Markers will guide you at the different turns. You will circle the rugby fields and turn left at the end, to enter the soccer fields. After running the perimeter of the soccer stadiums you heading back on the same route back to the cricket field.

Facilities

Parking at the gate (free). Ablution facility at the cricket club house.

When is it?

Every Saturday at 7:00am (October – March) & 8:00am (April – September).

The event takes place at Clive Solomon Stadium, Heatherdale road, Heidedal, Bloemfontein, 9306.
