The course is 5000m (5k) long. This has been accurately measured by us with a professional measuring wheel. The course is in Ernest Ullmann Park, Wendywood. The course is run on a mixture of trail paths, grass and sand. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.
Course Description
Two lap course, all in the same direction. Starting midway on the common area at start flag, go around the outer perimeter, along the river bank to the turning point just before South Road bridge and back continuing along and around perimeter of common area. Starting point close to finishing point.Facilities
- Part of the run goes through an animal reserve. Caution will need to be taken with ducks, guinea fowl, peacocks, dassies and springbok.
No dogs allowed and prams will be a challenge. - The GPS coordinates for Woodlands parkrun are 26°03″46’S 28°05″17’E
- Public toilet facilities are available and for R10 you may use the shower facilities at The Gym
- Please present your printed barcode to gain access to The Woodlands Office Park
