Route

2.4km – Out & back – Easy

Explore a charming 2.4-kilometer out-and-back trail in the vicinity of Agulhas, Western Cape. Typically regarded as an easy route, completing this trail usually takes around 29 minutes, making it an ideal choice for birdwatching, hiking, and leisurely walks. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful stroll, this trail caters to a variety of outdoor interests.

This windy, rocky and beautiful trail takes you to the southern most tip of Africa where the Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean meet. The Cape Agulhas Lighthouse Museum was opened in 1994 and is the only one of its kind that is found in Africa. The museum is a wonderful historical source of not only the lighthouse but also of the old fish traps that were used hundreds of years ago by the indigenous Khoisan people, these traps are made out of stone.
