Arrow Rest parkrun


The 5km parkrun at Arrow Rest is a beloved community event that combines fitness, fun, and the scenic beauty of Arrow Rest Park in a leisurely Saturday morning run, welcoming runners of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the great outdoors and camaraderie in a picturesque natural setting.

The course is 5000m (5k) long. This has been accurately measured by us with a professional measuring wheel. The course is at Arrow Rest, Hartbeespoort. The course is run on a mixture of grass and trail paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

Course Description

One lap mixture of trail / grass, dirt, and small rocks. Start at the parking lot. Go around the building towards the main dirt road. Turn right head straight up and turn left at first road. Straight down to main road. Turn left towards the Nursery. Go around the building and turn left along the fence of the property, towards the corner of the land. Turn left between the trees and follow the route to the quarry back to the fence. Turn right and follow dirt road back to start. Turn left at the t-junction. Head straight up to the end of open field. Turn left straight down to main road fence. Turn left all along the fence towards the nursery. Turn left at side dirt road to the start. Turn and then right at first footpath after the trees. Follow footpath around the trees towards the end.


Toilet facilities are available at the premises.

When is it?

Every Saturday at 7:00am (October – March) & 8:00am (April – September).

The event takes place at Arrow Rest, Cnr R512 Hartbeespoort Dam, Hartbeespoort, 0240.
